lapidot isn’t inherently bad but its just really annoying to me, they don’t interact until episode 83 and then we don’t see them again until episode 101, and they’re just suddenly the best of friends? when did that happen and why didn’t we see it, why are they suddenly something out of a bad fanfic with no buildup, why was lapis literally alone with garnet and pearl for supposedly a long time but we don’t see them talking, why can’t lapis talk to a character meaningfully that isn’t steven jasper or peridot, lapidot is like the most forced relationship on the show which sucks cause its usually so great with building up interesting relationships in a short time! look at amedot, look at garnidot, look at ronlars, look at pearlrose, and its like!!! there could’ve been more but theres just not, its a case of telling us all this stuff is happening with them but not showing us. its not that serious i guess but its so boring compared to peridots current relationships with the gems, and compared to lapis’s theoretical relationships with the gems. its just disappointing
