Ok but I was immensely bothered by the fact that, when confronted with a huge, dangerous and mindless monster, Steven opted to try and talk things out, but then Jasper appears two seconds later, and he’s immediatley on the defense as if she were waving a knife in front of him. 

I can’t possibly be the only one who saw this stark contrast.
