Who needs Pokémon go? There’s a wasp in my room, and now I have to deal with it somehow.

Maybe I can just not go into my room for a week.

well, that was an ordeal. I vacuumed it with the intent of releasing it outside, but it got lodged in a bit where it could still get out. So I dumped the whole vacuum junk-capturing thing (I’m blanking on the technical terms here) outside in the hall so I could get a bag to contain the whole thing. I’ll note that due to its hollow acoustics, the whole thing was making a terrifying amplified buzzing sound.

By the time I got back out there it had emerged and was crawling around on the carpet, but since it was my responsibility and I had released it on the general population, I smashed it with a book.

I’ve seen more flying around outside so I bet my obviously not airtight window is near a nest. This may be a fun two years.

I feel like to properly appreciate this you should know that I was wearing my heavy winter coat, hat, and gloves the whole time (in 80 degree weather) to avoid being stung.
