You could be talking about two things here, either cat food using “humane meat,” or more likely, vegan cat food. In the first instance there is no such thing, in the second, though vegan cat foods exist, there is simply not enough convincing evidence or even case studies proving that cats can be healthy on these kinds of foods for me to ever advocate their use. Cats are obligate carnivores. If you are taking care of a canivorous companion you have a duty of care to feed them a nutritionally adequate diet, which unfortunately must include meat. If you are uncomfortable with this there are plenty of herbivorous pets available, but as it stands, there is really no cruelty free option for feeding a carnivorous animal.
